#this has been my headcanon since day one and LET ME TELL YOU#it makes the books at least TWO TIMES MORE ENTERTAINING#I mean moist is average height at best#and still he looks down on vimes#(figuratively and literally speaking#until he figures out just how scary clever the commander is#that is not a good day for the organ grinder)#and yes angua and vimes out on patrol together and she’s p. tall so she’s at least a head taller YES GOOD#it makes me think of how glenda gets described in unseen academicals#‘she was not particularly tall so from her point of view dwarfs were not particularly short’#that absolutely goes for vimes#it may or may not be a part of the reason why some dwarf officers find him a little easier to trust#of course he lies about his height#he absolutely does#(which is easier to do than people think)#he is always so completely out of place almost everywhere he goes that people can’t help noticing him#he may not fill up every available space like granny or carrot#but you can’t ignore him#or if you do it is at your own peril#so he *seems* larger than he really is#favourite headcanons#Discworld#sam vimes (via the-tao-of-fandom)
