What really hurts me about the Civil War is the painful degree of irony in Steve’s arc. Because he made his decision, and it was “No Registration!” and he stuck to that… but he got so invested in not compromising his decision AT ALL in any way shape or form that he didn’t even realize that he was compromising everything else he stood for. Steve and Tony both did awful things in that war, but only one of them was willing see his best friend murdered for it.
