For all the potential new activists and anti-fascists, and for the old ones who may need a refresher.
Now’s the time to get organized, and learn how to keep safe while doing so.Two important points here:
1. Tor is not safe. It can be and has been compromised for policing in the past. There’s no reason to think this is not still the case. Use it to make things more difficult, but do not rely on it for security at any point. I can’t speak on the other specific tools listed here because I don’t have the spoons for a full review.
2. If you’re doing this for your activist/antifa work, do it for everything else too. Your habits can leak information. If you actually need crypto tools (that is, if you’re being actively surveilled) and you only use them when engaged in legally questionable shit, you’ve just given them a huge signal saying “HEY! Follow me and arrest me and anyone in a 50-foot radius!”
